Susan Hall

Rhythmic Rendezvous & RhythmWorx
Life Guide, Education Program Director, Teaching Artist
Rhythm ~ It is said that everyone moves to their own beat. For Susan, this innate beat is what underlies all of life’s experiences.

Susan understanding how music, rhythm, and rhythm-based concepts have influenced life experiences throughout history. This understanding, combined with her passion and experience as a Life Guide, Recreational Music / Drum Circle Facilitator, Health Education Specialist and Team Empowerment Specialist, led Susan to bring the benefits of rhythmic energy to individuals and communities, through her development of RhythmWorx and WAFT*.

RhythmWorx is dedicated to enhancing well-being of individuals, communities, and corporations through rhythm-based, interactive experiences. WAFT* is a simple, effective process that, when practiced, carries us lightly through each day, so we can flow with life’s rhythm and consistently experience balanced, satisfying lives!

Clients refer to Susan as a facilitator who gets the desired results. They have called her ~ passionate, knowledgeable, a personable and skillful life coach, an excellent facilitator, engaging presenter and reliable resource. All of Susan's programs provide personal enrichment, stimulate creative expression (and out-of-the-box thinking), foster self-esteem, and facilitate development of simple and consistent behaviors that engage and enhance whole person well-being!

With over 30 years experience serving as a health and well-being advocate and professional, providing education, guidance, and interactive, hands-on experiences, Susan understands the true benefits of whole person well-being. Susan earned her BS in biology with a minor in physiological psychology at San Diego State University; is a certified life coach; is certified as a facilitator and facilitator trainer for a variety of rhythm-based programs; has a long history in the arts (all forms); and is blessed to have received training, mentorship, and inspired insight from a long list of amazing individuals, including esteemed professionals and organizations such as: Trauma Intervention Program; Barbara Reuer, Phd, LPMT, MT-BC; Craig Woodson, PhD; Eric Christmas; Paulo Mattioli; Layne Redmond; Arthur Hull; Barry Bittman, MD; Christine Stevens, MSW; and more.

In addition to providing private, one-on-one Life Guidance, Susan also works with a wide range of corporate and education clients, providing direct Music and Theatre Instruction and/or Rhythmic Experiences for other life enriching purposes. Some past and current clients include: Association of Education Office Professionals, Center for Healthy Aging, American Cancer Society (California Division), Active Living Researchers, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Veterans Home of California Chula Vista, Job Corps, Project KAST (Kids and Seniors Together), Grossmont Cuyamaca Community College District, UC Irvine, many elementary, middle, and high schools, and Legoland California. RhythmWorx has been featured in: The San Diego Union Tribune, The San Diego Reader (on-line), and other local and national media.

Believing in the importance of connection and community, Susan has a long history of volunteer experience. Across time, she has served in the community at large, in classrooms, with school districts, at the university level, and in legislation, including (but not limited to) serving: as a member of the City of La Mesa’s “Live Well” Tactical Team; as a TIP (Trauma Intervention Program) volunteer, providing emotional and practical support to people in crisis; and, currently, as the Drum Circle Facilitator for the monthly "Live Well Drum Circle."

Again (this is worth repeating!) … Susan knows, when we flow with WAFT*, our innate rhythmic energy is activated, so we can flow in the rhythm of consistently experiencing balanced, satisfying lives!
